Binary clock- perhaps the most useless item on earth, but lo
« on: October 12, 2001, 10:09:00 PM »

Not sure how i came across this, but these people supply complete binary clocks (display though LED) and kits. Well the kit is 50 bucks, complete clock is $70. I'm sure as hell not going to pay that much, but they give what they call a sample of their kit's instructions, looks like your could make the thing from it, and with a little inventive thought make it a real cool mod on your box.
I'm not sure about the pricing on the parts yet, but i can't believe it's anywhere near what they are charging.

Tell me what you think, because i'm honestly thinking about tryin it out.

That spinning clock does look kick ass, i'd use it more as a novelty, i'd be afraid of trying to mod it in with my comp, even though it would look awsome as a make shift fan in a blow hole. If anyone tries that binary clock, try to save the receipt and post how much the gear costed, i'm interested in knowing :D
