hey guys after much research Iv decided to go with intel even tho the amd has great reviews, my question has come to which mother board to pick; Asus or Gigabyte from what i hear and I want DDR3, any ideas for $115 to about $140?

Are you doing LGA775 or 1156?

At the quoted budget, 775 seems more feasible.  Also, the way you say DDR3 as though it is a choice further reinforces the LGA775 angle.

I like Gigabyte better than Asus, after Asus couldn't fix a neatly documented problem clearly related to my M3A78 for like 82 BIOS revisions.

Maybe the EP45T-UD3R ($120)?

If you're going 1156, the P55-UD3L ($125) or UD3R ($140) look to be the only options they have.  The 3L is an interesting choice if you want the legacy ports, but the 3R gives you better cooling and connector positions.

ok well iv made my mind up on th eproc an I5 i know i was lookin gmore for lga 775 but what tha hell, so with that chip at $200 im looking for a mb i really like this one what you think...ASUS P7P55D LGA 1156 Intel P55... and if I go with it what really nice ram should i get (2 x 1gb)
