vista to xp my internet wont work

i got a computer resently and i switched it from vista to xp. my internet explorer was working fine on vista but after the switch it wont let me on the internet. anybody got a solution?

Are you using wired or wireless?

Drivers are all installed?

ipconfig shows your devices/MACs/etc. correctly?
