The finish off my new comp thread
« on: July 05, 2003, 09:44:37 PM »

Trying to complete the new system I'm building but am not entirely sure what I will get.  So far this is what I have:
ATI Radeon 9800pro
P4 3.0C
Asus P4C800 Deluxe
Corsair XMS Series 512mb PC3200 DDR x2
Samsung 19in 191T LCD

Still need HD, cdrw and soundcard which what I can think of.
For HD I'm thinking of the Seagate 120GB 7200rpm.  For CDRW I'm thinking of the Lite On 52x32x52x.  For sound card I think I'll go with another Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 which is what is in my current system and works well.  Anything else I need that I can't think of off the top of my head?

By your specs, it seems you have a lot of money to work with.   :D   Mine are close.  P4 3.0c, asus p4c800 deluxe, radeon 9700pro all in wonder, soundblaster live!.

If you want to save some money, the soundMAX digital audio on the motherboard is pretty nice, even though you could probably squeeze a little bit more performance of out of a soundblaster live 5.1.  The only reason I'm using sblive on mine right now is the digital input for my speakers.

How about a case?  ;)
