Sam, the bad thing about painting something and then trying to apply vinyl dye is that when you paint it the first time, you fill in all of the microsoptic hole with paint, and then when you apply the dye, it most likely wont "soak" in to the plastic, and most likely wont stay ;( but it never hurts to tray. Here is the pictures of me case that i dyed. I also have a Antec case.

sorry for the poor quality, my digital camera soxors ;(

Im a mental retard. I went looking for that spray in my color case (popular Antec/Chieftec DX-01Blue) and couldnt find a match after 5 different stores. I finally gave up and bought some Plasti-Kote paint that said it could be used on plastic. Well it worked alright after running all over the place. It looks like sh*t. Is it possible to undo this disaster and start over? What color was that used in the article? I dont they even carry a color to match my case.

No, as stated in the FAQ and by Babylon, you cannot dye plastic that has previously been painted.  Also, as stated in the article, it is extremly difficult to find a particular color in vinyl dye.  About the only way to do this is to custom order it.  Its always best to plan your project color scheme first and then incorperate the dyes that you can find.  It almost never works to paint something and then try to match dye to a color that you had previously chosen (exept for black and white).

I wasnt thinking of putting the dye over the paint. I was hoping there may be some paint remover strong enough to remove the paint I applied completely then start over.

Nope, isnt going to work.  The second that you apply paint to plastic, you lose the ability to dye.

Oh well... live and learn. Can I at least remove the paint I applied and repaint it to remove the runs? If so what paint remover would I use?

The only redeeming factor of this whole feasco "spelling?" is I don't believe there is a dye that matches my case.

thanks

OH CRAP PHOBOS!:-) You had to show that link with the colors :-(.  That dark blue would have been perfect. All I could find after my search was the slate blue and light blue. I didnt even see labels for dark blue in case it was out of stock. Someone put me out of my misery.
