RAM sinks...are they worth it?
« Reply #20 on: October 28, 2002, 01:55:00 PM »

I bought the TT passive RAM heatsinks. After applying them to the RAM it would not sit in the slot. The heat sinks were bigger than the pc133 SDRAM, so I learned my lesson. I would use the ram sinks but there are already some on the video card and I am not overclocking it.
Like people have said, ram sinks for OC'd video cards are good, but system memory heatsinks are pointless.

you don't really need ramsinks... unless your ram really does get hot..
my friend overclocks his FSB to 205 and this ram/chipset doesn't feel any warmer then underclocked.  I guess its all for looks..
RAMBUS on the other hand, DAMN do those things get hot.  thats why they come with heatsinks
