Water Cooling And Res Pumps
« on: November 06, 2001, 09:57:00 PM »

Going to setup a WC system cpu will prolly be AMD XP 1900+ I am going with the dangerden Maze II Waterblock and a blackIce Radiator (case constraints) with a 120mm Panafalo fan. Ive been looking into the RES to use and would like some opinions My two choices are Dtek Customs Res and OC hideout's Res

http://dtekcustoms.safeshopper.com/7/17.htm?138 http://www.overclockershideout.com/...ategory_Code=WC

Things I noticed were that the OC res uses 3/8 barbs while DTek uses 1/2 or 3/8 also the BlackIce comes with 3/8 barbs but can be modified to 1/2 inch barbs. Im thinking better flow with 1/2 inch barbs here. Im not planning on OCing but its a possibility in the future, is there much difference between using 1/2 or 3/8 tubing. also anyone know how loud these two res's are ?? And what about performance and reliability. I see they both pump out about the same amount 144gph rio 400 and 145gph Oc hideout. I might also in the future add a GPU waterblock (GEForce III card)can both these pumps handle both the cpu and gpu waterblock. This rig will be a lan rig so it needs to travel. also any recomendations on the setup would be great
