something that i was thinking of doing with my current case is to get one of those baby toys that have the steering wheel and car key and sound effects and stuff and cut out the key part and install that in the case. hopefully i can do it in a way that will keep it's sound effect and start the computer.

i haven't fully figured it out, just kinda thought it up a few hours ago but i think it would work.

wouldn't that be cool?  to turn on your computer you pull out a plastic car key and crank it up (varooom!) a cheesey kid car starting sound then computer boots.  :)

think this is possible?

The key part wuld be pretty easy, just visit Radio Smack and find the correct switch. Replace the current push button.

As for the sound, when you figure that out let me know. I got a wav file of Taz doin his thing that I want played every time I turn my PC on (at post, not logon).

that's a cool idea thanks.  (and thanks for those paint ideas guys ha ha)

but what i was thinking as far as the sound goes was to get a kid's toy that makes the sounds and rip the guts and the speaker out of it and put all of that in my case and somehow connect that to the power switch for the pc.  you turn the kid car key and the car starting sound comes from the toy's speaker that you've got in the case somewhere. then the computer starts.

i haven't done this yet. just an idea. (i haven't even found a good toy to do this with yet.)

see what i meen?  think this is possible?

I bet that would be easier then what I am wanting to do. My friend just had a kid a few months ago, so I been playing with kids toys a lil lately (not that I don't enjoy them). They all have a push button style that I would guess are just a small electronic circuit board inside there somewhere. I'd wire that into the power switch (prolly have to add a resistor there somewhere) and psu. Don't see why that would not work.

hehe why don't you put the sound chippy in the circuit of the power switch and the cables to start tha pc, if the circuit board has an some kinda 10 seconds sound on it, it will stop after 10 secs, just an idea :)
