It is not a question am i going to paint my case but how........
i was thinking all black, basic, easy, and better than what it is.... but i am asking for advise about the drive bays.
should i also paint the drive bays i am not using or just leave all the dirve bays the same color
anyone have any suggestions

I am also going to paint my case (going for the Cisco black/gray color tho). I would say pain the drive bays. There is a www page, on this site, and it looks easy. Besides, an all black case with bright puke beige drives will look tarded.

Painting your drive bays depends on whether you're painting your drives as well.  

I'd paint the drive bay covers, but you should also consider painting the drives themselves, or it'll still have the biege look.  If you don't want to paint the drives, then find a color that will blend with the biege, or live with the biege showing.

I painted my case a dark olive drag color and then painted the drive bays and drives a 'hammered' black color (Rustoleum Hammered Black). Painted the buttons red and painted a BIG orange scope crosshair on the side of the case.

another thing you want to keep in mind...warranty, or if you wanna sell the drive in a little to a friend or something like taht.

If you were going to paint it black, go ahead anyways, people pay more for black peripherals.

ummmmmmm
i am not thinking of selling it, i just built it this month and having alot of fun with it, but i will probly paint it black but i am still thinking about painting the drive bays
i could paint the cd and floppy but the soundblaster live i dont want to paint cause it has a lot of stuff written on it so i might paint all but that one or just non of the bays at all

Yeah, peeps pay more for black periferals... esspesially dumb porn surfers who will pay premium insead of looking for better prices.... (thinks of my friend who bought a p4 1.5 when the new duron 1.1 will out preform them...)
