Clear coat paint does not double as glue... I'll elaborate more when I post my mouse mod :)

  • don't cut your case with stuff in it.
  • don't use your MB as a dremel stand
  • practice makes prefect
  • primer is good for paint, not for vinyl dye
  • if you think it's orginal, it's probably already been done
  • if in doubt, ask. if still in doubt, be careful when trying it

Heatsink compound goes on the rectangular thing in the center of the die, not the four circular pads around it.  Hmm...haven't seen D_T around here for a while.

when cutting makesure the sparks arent going into your sleve. an hour or so of constant saprkage against your arm = tender arm and no arm hair. also, dont cut directly on a table cloth, they have a nasty habit of catching fire.

cheers,
T.H.

A good paint job requires a really good working environment (at least 60F constantly, relativly dry, and free of dust), lots and lots of time, and a unreal ammount of wet sanding.  Working from 800, 1000, 1200, 1800, to 2000.

Laptop screens are completly worthless, you cant convert them to put in your case or use it as a monitor with out a $250 converter card.

The "LCDs for Cheap" guide isnt for everyone.  Its usually cheaper to go out and buy one considering that most people fry the first one they make.  Its definatly something that you need some skills to complete.
