MySQL DB Replication
« on: January 07, 2011, 07:17:18 AM »

To make a long story short I have MySQL running on a server here at home with no SSL, and I have a MySQL server running on my hosted server with SSL enabled.

I'd like to keep a Database or two in sync between those two servers, is having SSL enabled on the remote server enough to keep the replication secure or do I have to enable SSL on the local server as well?

I'd just enable it on both sides to be safe.

I'll give it a shot and see what happens

On a creepy side note, I think Oracle likes to Google for MySQL, I got a random email from them today attempting to sell me a support package... Not to the address I've given them in the past, but the one I use here
