I know a few on here have an Android based phone. Quick Q, how is IMAP support, mainly IDLE (push) support? From what I've read, the stock mail app doesn't support it, which is a shame. However, some folks have said it's quick, so I'm not sure if ppl even know what IDLE even means.

Anyhow, I have a test Droid Eris coming to play with, just want to get some info before diving in.

Try all the Android forums out there.
If it doesn't come with that, then somebody might have modded/hacked it.

If I had a way to test it, I would let you know, but otherwise couldn't tell you as I don't use my droid for email and when I do its 99.9% gmail

A couple of people here have the HTC version of the droid, since that is the only model that has built in exchange support.  Biggest issue with them so far is thaey can receive emails, but not send.  And yes, the phones are configured properly.  Verizon has admitted to two people so far it is an issue on their end.  Only insight I have on those phones.
