old games and steam
« on: January 30, 2010, 12:34:05 PM »

I've noticed that Steam sells some games that are quite old. In fact some of them won't run on modern OS. Does anyone know if they're like GoG.com, wrapped somehow so they will work on a modern OS? (I'm looking at today's XCOM sale, complete pack for $2.00)

Eh, I decided to just search through the closet and dust off my old discs while using dosbox.

I've been playing 2000 classic AVP game on my windows 7 rig...works great, although the graphics suck allot of a$$.  Might try something else.
