DVI to HDMI is a straight conversion (except DVI doesn't have sound) so as long as the TV has HDMI inputs then you are ok.

RIGHT!

And what you asked about the difference with digital vs analog...  From what I've seen, on larger screens you can tell the difference a bit more when compared to a monitor (>20").  Colors are a bit richer, and less "off sync" when rocking digital.
