The cage is actually upside down, so they aren't sitting on their respective 'tabs'. Once i screw them in, they will be separated accordingly.

That's awesome good to see people still doing their own thing. I am about to start on a classic white box and i will hopefully be able to do a project log when i've got the plans set. By the way i know how it is with io bays mine just has a 4 inch gap for it.
