meh, pass. all of my data is raid 1 these days. way freaking easier than burning stuff to disc or losing it all. time is money.
When I read it wasn't RAID 1 I was kind of

, but the array I want to back up is 4 500GB drives in RAID 5 which formatted comes out to 1.36TB. I just want to be able to back it up every once and a while, disconnect the drive, and store it somewhere. RAID 5 is safe enough for my storage, but since the PC is on the net and acts as a server I
have to fear that someone may be able to hack it some day.
Oh, and this is post #2 for me, it even comes with a new IP address.
