I'm going to be stubborn on this one and keep my original idea of it being in the trunk. I'm not too worried about not having it turn on for awhile or even all the way to work. Sometimes it's soothing to not have any sound :)

Thanks, I actually had that one figured out. Go me!   I'm going to be getting a stock fog light switch or I/C Spay switch and hook that up to the computer. Thinking about doing a fan control too...not sure on that one

Mobo is in! This thing is so small! Attached a picture comparing it to a scotch tape dispensor.  Everything is going good with it so far. One thing that I didn't realize it's the onboard IDE is for the smaller 2.5" drives, oops. So I had to bust out the USB cdrom and that's been giving me a lot of grief. The 1gb stick is only showing up as 512mb (In the bios, no windows yet) :(  Not sure how to go about solving that one...

Also ordered the Visteon HDZ300 from ****. And that will be here next week too. Bezel should be in sometime next week or so.

I love getting new parts :) Now I just need to get serious about making the case.

That's a pretty sweet motherboard.  When I get a new car I might have to go that way (or mac mini) for my PC.  Soldering stuff to the inside of a laptop was pretty fun though. :P

Finally got some free time to work on the case some more.  Got two of the 4 fan holes cut out...they take a long time to cut out. Not to mention really boring to do.

I heated the lexan a bit too hot while bending causing it to bubble up.  It's ok as I'll be painting the whole thing black.

*nom nom nom*

Just need to figure out how the hell I'm going to cut out the wrx part

Lost a few posts since the db died.

Anywho I have everything minus a bluetooth adaptor.  Thanks to blafrish for suggesting iGuidance. I'll be using Centrafuse for the front end. I'm hoping to get a lot of drilling and such and possibly getting everything ready to test in the car this weekend. I'll post pics.

This project isn't dead! :)

I sent the case I made off to my dad to cut out the fan grills and front logo. However, he hasn't had the time to get it done so I'm looking into other routes I can go.  Just waiting on a few people to get back to me to see how fast this project can get done.

Also got a usb wifi adaptor so I can be wifi ready. Played with centrafuse a bit and I'm really digging it. I've been looking into programming some custom gauges using enginuity. So far I found a program that will convert jars to C# dlls which will let me program in C#. Though I'm too dumb to figure out how to make it work :)
