Any recommended wireless cards?
« on: February 08, 2008, 08:13:05 PM »

Well, I want to put a wireless card in this computer so I don't have to put 2 cables through the ceiling (The computers are in the basement, and the routers upstairs ), but I don't really know anything about them. Ive got a Linksys WRT54G for a router, and a gigabyte DS3R for a motherboard, and if any other specs are required, just ask and Ill post here as fast as I can . Thanks

I just put one of these in my roommate's PC (running XP Home) recently and it works great with decent transfer speeds.  It's cheap and supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2.  I use WPA2 in my house, so I can vouch for that working even though some people on NewEgg say otherwise.  The only thing you have to make sure you do is use the drivers from Rosewill's web site, not the ones on the CD.
You're just about as useless as JPEGs to Helen Keller.
