laptop painting
« on: February 02, 2008, 02:19:47 AM »

i finally got around to doing some painting again, had the sudden urge to paint my laptop orange! a roll of masking tape, 3 coats of primer, and 5 coats of paint with lots of intermittent sanding later and its all together again, pics when i get back home again with the camera. laptop was silver and black, i left the black as it was and just changed the silver to orange, i think it looks pretty snazzy

i considered it, but since i had to paint inside the apartment because of the weather, and i was already sick of the smell of paint i decided against it, also figuring if something rips through 5 coats of paint and 3 primer im probably gonna have issues other than a scratch in the paint :P

all right, here we go with pics:
here it is dismantled

primer'd

first few coats of paint

and finally put back together

masking around the logo came off and i had to put new on, so the border around that is a little messed up, but it looks like its supposed to be like this otherwise, especially if i get around to doing the palm rest as well
