volts and amps?
« on: November 26, 2007, 08:49:46 AM »

hi, I have an LCD screen, it doesnt have a power adapter though.  The screen says on the back, 12v 3.33A

i know 3.33 amps, and 12 volts.  Now, I cant find a power adapter rated like that.  I found a 12v 3A one.  Is 3a enough for it to work or do i need 3.33?

thanks guys.

you are going to want to find a bigger power supply.  That one may work for a while but you will be asking it to push more current than it is rated for which means it will go bad pretty fast.  You may even see some damage to the LCD due to the brown out you will be forcing it into.
