To clarify, the scratches are only one the painted part on the circled area of the picture.  It is not aluminum but steel with silver paint on it.

The side panel is brushed aluminum but that is NOT scratched.

There is also no plastic in the vicinity of the scratch.

Well, then you can try polishing it like a car, as someone else said.
I thought we were talking about brushed or coated aluminum.

Go to the local auto store and say you want to try an buff out some small scraches. They should be able to point you to the right stuff.

Case painting is done alot like cars so it all should work.
