Does anyone else think merlinicorpus has short positions on AMD/ATi and nVidia stock? ;)

I think he's just full of anger.

Is it worth getting a DX10 card for direct DX9 games although I don't intend to get Vista?

Some day, Vista will have its bugs shaken out and you'll upgrade to it.  Everyone said the same thing about XP pre-SP1.

So the question becomes, will I upgrade my GPU again before Vista SP1 or SP2?  If not, buy DX10 now if it's in the budget.  If so, then it doesn't matter what you get now, but 800GTS 320s are getting relatively cheap (since 190 pounds is in the budget) and they seem to be outperforming all the DX9 cards on DX9 games.

I dont know why what .. the big releases that should have happened this last month were more a fizzel this time around. Bonus is that DDR3 Is hitting the streets and will open new doors, and start the closing on the DDR sales in the next year. DX10 cards are out and disavantage is ATI has only a small market for that ...

BUy Intel .. I need my stock to go up ..

What you think of this?

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=120325

Also I need to know the difference between these two:

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/128047
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/128048

First one is cheaper but seems better? o.0

1st the video card is a GTX which is the 2nd highest card out there right now .. Ultra GTX is faster .. Some of the OCed GTS are just  as good and maybe less in price.  Other wise a very nice card.

Mobo's.

The differances come down to the last part of the pages starting with the "Back panel"

P35 chipset is the new kid on the block from Intel, It is able to support both DDR2 & DDR3 ram but looks like MSI set it up for DDR2 only. the P35 Chipset feels better than the 680i from nvidia ( I have a 680i board and one with the P35 chipset)

Better GPU option? There was an overclocked BFG one which uses the GTX chipset (not Ultra) but only difference was 12mhz lower on clock frequency and 1.8GHz not 2.16GHz on RAMDAC, is the extra bit worth 60?

I was thinking you might want to save money not psend more with something like this.

compared to your 1st one this one cost less and the core is close to the same.

Aha ok.

How would one of these handle a DX10 game? Very well?

well since there are really no DX10 games out just demos. Cant really tell. I have a stock 8800GTS and it handles all the games I play in high detail.
