i likes... although, i'm wondering (and at the same time, lazy to checkout the californeon site), does this product emit (aside from the inverter's sound) any other things, like heat from the light?

also will the noises affect anything thing inside the computer? i'm sure it wouldn't but i'm bringing that question out in the open anyway...

thx for the review, brutal! :D

the light doesnt emit heat, the inverter does, its like holding warm toast. nothing to get excited about, all inverters give off some heat.

the noise wont effect anything.  I have seen reports of having issues if you keep the inverter near the psu or electrical components but if you keep it on the bottom of your case or 2-3 inches away from the other components you will be fine.

Originally when I first intoduced the lightstrips back in August of last year, this was the place I was getting my stock from, and until I had approached them about the idea of using them in a computer application, it was unheard of.  From the sound of the review, they are probably still the same as they were, and from the look of it, they are bound to be selling quite well.  I'm glad I was able to give them a push start and help them get into this market.  Way to go J.R.!

Nice job on the review also.

Take care.

If your use those on like the edges of your case, how much light would they actually give off in comparison to lets say LED's or the like?

oooh, can those lightstrips blink or are they just static? they can be a good replacement for the power and HDD LED -- imagine having two-strips on the face of your computer to indicate that it's turned on and the HDD is being accessed :D

if you built a circuit to flash the power supply before the inverter it should work. the stuff if instant on / instant off.

Duke or anyone else, if you want me to mock something up, i will. I'll just tape it in place, cause the 3m backing is strong stuff.

i cant do it tonight, but i could tomorrow night.  let me know and I'll toss the pictures up on one of my websites

when you say edges you mean like a picture frame on the front or side or something?
