it might be ATIs forray into the realm enterprise level graphics cards, it doesn't look too different in terms of size to a quattro to be perfectly honest

What gets me is the claim the OEM version will be larger and less efficient than the retail ones.

In my day, OEM hardware was inferior and cut-down, so it would be more efficient and smaller.

Unless this is another 7900GX2 situation, where they have a special release they only want to offer to OEMs to put in a pre-qualified system.

Anyway, and video card which will tap out my largest PSU (a 600W SSI model) is not a card I want.

Odds are it's an enthusiast video cooling device.  Somehting custom you can eventually buy from an onlive vendor.

Huge version of R600 looks like ancient VooDoo5 6000 with 4 GPU's :)

Isn't the 8800 about the same size?  It's hard for me to tell from the perspective, but mine is pretty doggone big.
