WTB: PCi Graphics Card and Network Card
« on: January 15, 2007, 09:30:01 PM »

Looking for some cheap components for a linux box. I'm hoping to spend less than $20 for 1 or 2 network cards and a pci graphics card.

Lemme know what you got people. :-D

haha If I had the spare nics I will let you have them, But last week I was looking for a spare to test a new firewall. Found out that all my Nics are gone. I been using on board for a few years now.

I'll give you a PCI gfx card for shipping costs.  I may have a NIC or two, but I'd have to look around.

That would be awesome. I can probably do without the nic. I'm trying to setup m0n0wall as a captive portal to share the internet at my apartment and I think I can do it with just one.

Any specific model of NIC card (network interface card card heh)?  I have a bunch just gathering dust from 3com to Netgear to off brand.

Any older 10 or 100 card that linux likes such as 3com work. I think Blafrisch might have me covered but i'm going to check and read up on captive portals to see what exactly I need.

Edit: I read up on it but didn't have a chance to get back before my battery died. I will need two as it needs to sit between the internet coming in and the wireless router/ap.
