Thanks, noobee, for the heads up. Yeah, I've been checking out the 7900 GS very seriously, as it is truly an overclocking beast! Mainly, the XFX extreme version... most folks are getting a 40% or more overclock on AIR...

Which brings me to a question: I noticed the XFX cooling solution excludes ram cooling of any kind - no HS coverage, no ram sinks, etc.; the ram chips appear completely exposed. So I wonder if ram chipping and cooling with water would yield even better overclocks?

I've been visiting the xtreme system and overclockers forums, but no one has tried it yet...

Anyway, I just posted several 7950 GT reviews... seems that 7900 GS is the way to go, considering the rebates being offered, and the fact that DX 10 cards are around the corner. In short, for $200, you can get the 7900 GS, overclock it, and it outperforms the 7950 GT (which is ~$320)...
