How to charge a phone battery pack?
« on: June 02, 2006, 11:47:39 PM »

How do I charge a cordless phone battery pack the phone is long gone and I want to use the battery as an LED tester as it's the perfect voltage for most LEDS (with a resistpr of course) the battery specs are 3.6 Volts 400 Mah NI-CD. do I need a to make a circuit to charge it or can I use a wall adapter from my collection of ac adapters (XX Volts for X amount of time) Thanks

I wouldn't even bother, all you need to test a LED is an AAA or an AA batt. ;)

If you're serious about charging it, a trickle charger would probably work best.  They are most commonly used to charge the battery packs for RC vehicles.  I'd give a look into one of those.  They might be rather pricey though.
