great review, as always awesome job w/ keeping it accurate :D

now... if only somebody could get test results on a more high end system, that would affect lil' ol' me and my 1.4 gh.....

got one question, how will this do on a tbird 1.4? a friend of mine has buyed one and he can't keep that working!, that thing goes to 53C just on start!... it has a coolermaster (for 1.5 ghz athlon) and a msi turbo lite, and that thing goes off 1 min after starting windowz!..

well...im going to try and get my hands on a higher end chip to get things cooking. But then that means, i'm going to be redoing every heatsink temperature that i know of :)

well, i've got an alpha (as you can see in my sig) on mine, and after some tweaking and stuff, i get some good temps.

once i get my stuff together and a digital camera, i'll post pics and info on it.

basically, the t-bird can operate at 50c no prob, just keep good airflow, and make sure you have ASII or that other stuff that gideon reviewed on it. it helps a lot.

the stock hsf that comes with the retail boxes are only good at stock speeds. shouldnt get over 55 if you do it all right :D

well he got a prog that he hear about on the madonion foruns, that has turned this temp to 35C, without touching on the inside of the box!... don't know what that is, but i have to ask him the url!

so for who cares the program is Vcool and you can find it on http://tweakfiles.com/processor/vcool.html

for what i know this prog stops the cpu when the is idle...

the program is called Rain. this is old, but if your running winNT/2k, don't bother...its built into the OS. works nicely on Win9X tho...
