Radeon 7000 Help
« on: February 26, 2006, 05:32:46 PM »

I have a Radeon 7000 32MB AGP edition and for some reason, the
damn thing won't let me go fullscreen in Windows Media Player.
It also won't let me do the Direct3D Acceleration tests in DXDIAG.
It says that I pressed a key and cancelled the test on each test!
What the hell is going on here?

i would make sure the drivers are updated or try to rollback. also reinstall directx. try turning down the video acceleration for troubleshooting just to see if it helps.

OK, this may sound weird, but I fixed it.  All I did was uninstall
every ATI driver listed on the Add-Remove Programs and reinstalled
the ATI catalyst driver without the .Net framework and Control Center.
In other words, I only installed the display driver itself.  Another thing I
did was uninstall my monitor driver and used the default that came with
Windows.  Pretty weird, but it works now as long as I don't install my
monitor driver.
