cnets bandwidth meter gave me 1.1 megs/sec its not good for high speed connections, look for a server with less of a load, i got 3 megs/sec on one of them. Also dont forget a good res hacker, gotta mod the software too

The best bandwidth meter I have ever seen on the net has to be :

www.bandwidthplace.com       :D

A buddy and I researched this for about 2 months straight, and we got a constant number from this only site just about every time.

I'm glad people are posting stuff in here again.

http://www.mscomputers.net/diag.html  - DOS diagnostic tools

http://www.aldostools.com/index2.html  - Tons of stuff, best for it's console > PC adapter software/drivers

http://www.gamesx.com/index2.htm  - More info than downloads, but good stuff for hacking console hardware

It's kinda funny people are still working on DOS stuff. They got pseudo-multitasking, networked (tcp/ip) DOS boxes out there. I might put together a mini ISO (bootable + partial menuing system) for rescue/repair stuff. It would be small though, under 120mb to fit on those mini-cds / business card cds. If/when I do this, I'll let cha'll know.

Yeah I am glad this post is still being used.

When I originally posted this I was hoping this would eventually get to be many pages log with lots of usefull stuff we could all share.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been as popular as I had hoped but there is still a lot of good stuff here.

Unfortunately I haven't come accross any good sites lately with more utilities.

Let's keep em comin folks. Maybe we can make this a good resource for all to use.
