Useful Utilities
« on: October 07, 2002, 07:38:00 AM »

I figured I would start a thread that has links to the most commonly used software utilities that we all seem to use or have found useful.

OK Slight modification to this original post:

I am summarizing this topic now every so often and making sure that there aren't any repeats so that people can just look at the original post and see the utilities as well as who posted them in case they wish to give that person some thanks.

Many thanks to those of you who have posted these links. They will be very useful for furture readers as well as those needing such utilities.

Obviously this post is going to become rather long over time as I keep updating it. Hope this helps anyone out there looking for stuff like these and if you have any suggestions for the layout of this thread let me know via PM so we keep the spam on the thread to a minimum.

Everyone else: Keep posting new info. We need more links in here.

Sandra is a good utility just for general diagnostic stuff, pretty cheap too.

I also like System Mechanic, as a cleanup tool.

This is a very good idea to have.

Beside utils there are always the standards as well.
Vynal Dye (Merlins page on what it is)
standard tools most moders have.
  Drimel
  Nibbler
  Cutting disk
Kevlar Vest (for when a disk breaks during usage)
Another questions that pops up almost as often as the Dye one.. LED's.
