This looks like a really slick and easy way to fire up the peecee remotely.

That's pretty nifty.  although i noticed it has an off button as well.  Does that mean you're gonna have to either press the off button right away or make a circuit to trigger the power button at a small interval to mimic a momentay switch?

If I didn't already have a ridiculous backlog of projects, I'd order it and find out. I was hoping some adventurous soul would plonk down the hard-earned cash to buy one and tell us. (nudge)

I really dont want my PC Turning on and off as I toss n turn on the couch. Its bad enough that I trigger off the car alarm or un-lock my car doors from time to time. Plus the PC churpping  would confuse me as well.

That's why I don't like car's alarms with door locks.

But anyways, it would be interensting to know what's inside. ;)

I've messed around with remotes like this (although not the same one) and most of the time they basically run off a latching relay circuit, meaning the circuit would stay closed untill another press of the button opens it again.  Might be worth a try though.  I've got about 4 old car alarm systems sitting in my shop and been wanting to incorporate one into my computer.  Imagine, arming your computer alarm and catching that "uninvited" user messin' up your stuff.  I know I could use that on mine. ;)
