yah, actually, ive never seen 2500s. I dont actively look, but they must be newish or typo'd. You could buy them and file a lawsuit. you'd just have to get gid to erase this thread first.

well in this case i would return the batterys and save yourself the trouble of fileing a law suit, just go to some online retailer, like www.batteryspace.com and find something you like with a charger there.

OK, I got myself something better today.  I gave about $25 for an
Energizer charger from Target.  It charges batteries in up to 3 hours,
comes with 4xAA 2500mAh batteries, can charge 2-4xAA or 2-4xAAA
batteries at a time and last but not least, it comes with a car charger.

All for $23.99.  8)

I'm happy. :D

At least it was $24 for good batteries. I'll never use rechargable alkalines ever again, mainly because they all blew up within a few charges. Nimh though, man! Nimh + sony walkman (killer battery life) =fantastic. I lasted for an entire 21 consecutive hours in a car without charging them, and 2 1850 mah nimh's powered my cd player for the entire time.

Cool.  That makes me want to hurry and try these out!  If that was only
1850mAh, I wonder how long these will last!?  I have a cheap-o CD player
but I bought these mainly for my digital camera.  It's an Olympus D-370
and this damn thing sucks down juice like you wouldn't believe.  After they
die, i'll recharge them and put 2 in my CD player and see how long they
last.

Thats really the only reason I wanted a sony as opposed to anything else. The battery life and the bass boost. Both blow everything away. Your digital camera should love them though.

I have a question (it's probably stupid but i'm gonna ask anyway).

Is there any way to discharge batteries or do I have to use a proper
charger with a discharge feature?

The discharge feature is definately your better bet, but basically anything would do. Even a little AA battery holder with an led and a resistor will do, granted length would be lots to fully discharge them. I always use an led to discharge phone batteries though.
