That is hot, like fire is hot.  Those phase change pads are (excuse me, were) the devil.

According to those, the active ingredent is probably something called D-Limonene.  Which is a widely used industrial solvent and cleaner.  Its chemical formula is (R)-4-isopropenyl-1-methylcyclohexene, so it doesn't contain any lye.

The only thing the directions warn about is polystyrene.  Apparently it will eat right though it and styrene based plastic.  I should note that when I was using it I got some on my skin and had no ill effects, not even a mild burning sensation.  However the directions do warn that it would be a really bad thing to drink.

damn...could have definetely used this instead of spending at least an hour taking the damn thermal pad off of my intel HSF (exact same one in the review), cleaning, and applying AS5. Temp dropped by 11 degrees (probably because the pad wasn't in the best shape) so it was worth it...but still.

I plan to buy some for my next project :)

Oy, I'm about to do that to my Intel HSF (yeah, the 775 one in the review)...aw well, at least there's a laptop in the house if I need a break.

Sorry for the double-post...but I wanted to make sure you guys saw this.  GT is on Arcticsilver.com in the "Recent Reviews of Arcticlean" list---the top of the list, no less!  Maybe we'll get some more forumgoers from this, huh?

I just bought the 240mL kit of arctiClean at the canadian retailer www.adpmods.com and it arrived this morning. I was putting in an order and figured it will come in handy soon :)

I tried it on my server's HSF for an AS5 application and it worked great.
