Any soldering iorn will do but you got to make sure its got a fine tip and its not tooooo powerful because it can damage the pcb.  And be careful when you are gonna be moving that hot iorn.

I am with you on that one......that crap sucks.  My friend has one and told me to use it to hook up his stereo and man was that a mistake.  Fist off it dosent get hot enough to melt the solder and second sometimes it dosent work....and yes it had brand new batteries.

I thought it would be a blast to use but I ended up just getting a regular iorn after that.  Radio shack will have a soldering iorn for cheap.  Around $10 maybe or a little more.

*has 3 radioshack soldering irons and 1 desoldering iron he's very pleased with*

you just need to practice at soldering small things, and buy a fine tip for your iron, as well as get some lower-heat solder. A 20-watt iron should do, if you have solder that'll melt at that temperature.

^those should work well, but I'm not positive about that tip. remember to practice first!
