Hrm, thats the same stuff I use.  Plastikote Vinyl Dye from Advanced Auto Parts... are you shaking the can good?   I mean REALLY good?  When the label says 2 minutes, it really means 3 minutes or until you colapse from shaking the can.

Yeah..I think I shook for around 3-5 min. Based on what the store I got it from looked like inside, it could have been really old. Maybe that had something to do with it?

I think I am going to go out and get another can sometime soon so I can finish my latest project (which has really been a pain in the ass).

OK.  This post is mainly for Merlin, since he is the one who originally asked me, but everyone can use this info.  Also, this isn't the original topic for this post, but it'll do.

Merlin, I checked at Car Corp (the place that custom mixes the vinyl dye!) and they said nobody had every asked them to do that.  Hehe.  They were pretty sure they could, but had to check on the status of mailing paint and would get back to me.  I'll know in 1 or 2 days.

Ok guys, I hope someone can help me.  I've looked at Home Depot and Walmart, and neither seem to have vinyl dye.  Where can I get it, and home much can I expect to pay for a can?

The first place I would try is automotive stores.  In the past I have paid 4 to 5 bucks a can, but a can of VD will last a lot longer than a can of spraypaint.

ok...i am finally gonna have some time for my case.  does anyone know what brand black vinyl die matches with what black regular spray paint?  how blues???? anyone? i dont want some gangsta ass case with different shades of colors...

might hit up my bitch 2 tone Blue/Black or either or... not sure yet...leaving to Argentina on Friday so i got a week to think bout it...  

As some of you know, my computer is currently dead, so what better time...=)
