TI-83 Wireless Link
« on: November 22, 2004, 07:32:36 PM »

So I've decided to make an attempt at a device that will allow for two TI-83 calculators to comunicate wirelessly. So far I've decided upon two possible ways to do this.
1. Modify some sort of main-stream audio transmition device.
2. Build a device from scratch.
For the latter, I've found this, however, I have been unable to locate any source of the IC needed. Thus I need help from you noble lot. If any of you have either a different plan, or a suggestion  of any modable mainstream device that is battery powered, and transmit's two ways, it would be much appreciated.

Not to be a naysayer, but it might be better to use RF.  I know from personal experience, if a TI-83 screws up in file transfer, it can be some pretty bad news.

Can I ask what this is gonna be used for?
