velleman mk 157 LCD - What chipset?
« on: December 04, 2004, 04:09:50 PM »

I have recently bought a LCD (velleman mk 157) from http://www.maplin.co.uk. I then read the brilliant guide on wiring a LCD to a comouter and dumped the project the LCD was originally going to be used for and adopted that idea. The only problem now is the fact I cant find the specs. I want to just make it display a little message but it would be so handy if I could modify the message on the computer and make it display some system specs.

Heres the actual link to the maplin page...
My LCD

I have just noticed this newer version (asnt available when I ordered mine!)...

Newer LCD

This might work and I will probably get it in a couple of weeks (really cheap!). Thanks in advance
