Powering 100 LED's. Possible?
« Reply #20 on: September 18, 2004, 11:25:16 PM »

Thank you , linear, for your idea. I am understanding it better now, and I found some more online literature to help me out. I think I will implement your solution in the final plans. I appreciate your help.

I have 1 more question, if anyone might care to help. I know that the online LED calculators aid in finding out the amount or resistance that is necessary for proper voltage regulation. However, I do not know when to use 1/4 W, 1/2W, 1W etcetera... How do I determine the wattage of the resistor I will need? Is there a mathematic formula?

P (in watts)=E (in volts) X I (in amps)
