The long awaited low latency versions of the Kingston HyperX modules have arrived. We will be taking a look at the 1GB sample and see how it stacks up.

it seems to me that i read somewhere, probably on newegg, some people complaining to kingston they were only getting 2.5 cas with their modules, and kingston wouldnt do anything about it.   several people advised getting the pc3500 if you want cas 2.0.   for what its worth.

i can confirm these modules operate at 2-2-2-5 without a problem.

btw, do you have a link to the page of reviews where the 2.5 issue is occuring on newegg?

ed, there is only one remaining negative customer comment out of 34 reviews/ on this item at newegg.  well within the range of normal faulty product percentage.  newegg deleted the one customer review that stuck in my mind.  what i found disturbing was his report that kingston told him that as long as the computer booted, they wouldnt replace it, even though the memory wasnt up to specs.   of course, that would open them to false advertising claims, so it may have been a noob rep he talked to.
