Personally, i'd go with the All copper version, but yes, it is compatible with the a7n8x , and other 462 boards, but it does require you to  screw on some brackets, that are included. This is the best heatsink fan i'v ever used!

either one will do as far as performance. I'v got this fan cranked to full, even though the rpm's don't go past 3000, it's super quiet, cpu is at 29C, 32C under stress. The CNPS7700 looks about the same as the all CNPS7000, as far as I know, only differce is the copper mold, and it's compatible with 939's and new age procs.

CNPS7700 is bigger than the CNPS7000 and has a 120mm fan ;)

The 7000 looks like a toy compared to the new 7700.

holy mother of pearl, thats a huge ass heatsink/fan! (by its width, i mean) and it cools that well?

well, do you think this thing (7700) will work better than the stock amd heatsink? cause i have the a64 3200+ and my temps get up to 55C under load, and i even have to have the side of my case open, cause it gets hot as an oven in there...(and thats only 32-bit mode...$#!%)

how much would one of these 7700's go for?

The 7700 would give you better temps than the stock A64 heatsink.

It's going to be released in July.

You can also get one of these Thermalrights, if it's released for mass production. It's intended to be for Intel... but I'm sure they'll make an AMD version to compete against Zalman.

It can handle a 120mm fan. ;)
