yeah i can hear my orb in the next room too. good thing i haven't put a blow hole in this case yet... the neighbors would be calling up!

i'm going to go look for something quiter... i'll put this orb on the for sale page as soon as i find something.

karrottop, what speeze is it? how's the sound? how's the cooling?

there's a big difference between a 39 dba 80 mm fan and a 37 dba 60 mm fan.  The 60 mm fans are generally higher pitched and make you wanna shoot yourself.  The 80 mm fans have a lower pitch and just require a little more volume on the music.

good point.

or as the dragon orb would say, "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

so if i dremeled that fan off the dragon orb then duct taped a 120mm fan to it's heatsink... it should be quiter ;)

I have the dorb3....it's horrrrrible!!

the cooling is pretty good, but the fan?!?!?

I can SERIOUSLY hear it at the other end of the house


and the fan!?!? it's blades are like 1 cm!

I seriously am looking at the AX-7 or WC....SERIOUSLY

Does it scream ouder than a Delta?  if it does, I think a cooler with a Delta would be a quieter option for you, and pushes more air for that matter.

hmm, I've never heard a delta in real life, but the fan on there is like a 60mm, but shorter fan blades, imho.....and so I'd say it's prolly like a 60mm delta = loud and high-pitched!

hmm, I couldn't find any that seemed to match the EXACT pitch of the fan...

but it's noisy, know that...
