How about painting the key legend with reactive paint, lit with either some UV LEDs or a UV tube?

Serious consideration:  might all the UV stuff result in skin cancer?  I suppose I just hear a lot about it being in the middle of a desert, but *extra* UV doesn't seem wise

Different type of UV, like black lights are UV, but they wont tan you, but then you can get UV tanning bulbs.

the ibm keyboards are manufactured by micro innovations, and and quite inexpensive as was previously noted.  also, the wrist rest is detachable.

That was the black version of the IBM Active Response keyboard sold rather cheap at CompUSA last year (around $14.99).  Here's a link:

not sure if they still carry them.  It's very sturdy and reliable.

I have 2 of them and use them all of the time.  All of the key's are in the right spot as well
