Seven segement display pin assignment.
« on: January 20, 2004, 01:27:53 PM »

i just sat down to soilder this together and i relized i am completley confused by the pin assignments on the conttroler ic's.  the pic to the left shows the assignment n numeric order, then the schematic shows it all jumbled, so wheres pins 8 adn sixteen, i can tell wich pins go the which pin on the 25 pin connector.  i feel kinda noobish but im confused.

the pin assignments on the diagram on the right is just for neatness' sake.  if you follow the IC's actual pin numberings, you'd have wires running all around your diagram.

your welcome.  if you saw the video with the article, you'll see my circuit with the wires coming from left and right of the IC.

Pin 16 goes to +5V
Pin 8 goes to ground

It's just that the software I've used for it doesn't show those pins.
