LED voltage.
« on: October 14, 2003, 01:56:29 PM »

I really wanna make my optical mouse blue, but I can't get it to work.
The website i read a tutorial on, said to use a 3.6v LED.
I can find any 3.6v LCDs where i live.
I have a blue LED that does 1.2v-5v, but it does not work...

Anything else i can do?

You can use any led, you just have to calculate the resistor depending on it's voltage and amperage.
Search in GT x24 did a led calculator.

About your led, ask where you bought it for its voltage and amperage and then calculate the resistor.
