Do you have specs on those LEDs?  If you do, you can go here.

A chrysanthemum.  It's a flower girls wear as a corsage (sp?), and he wants to make it out of LEDs

Unless she's a geek like you I think you'll get slapped and most everyone else will laugh at you.  I don't think you'll be getting lucky on homecomming night my friend.

If you really wanted to you could have a stealth Geek Corsage.  All the electronics are hidden... um wait a sec, you would probably get slapped anyway because to turn it on it would look like you are trying coping a feel.  Oops, good idea anyway

You'd be surprised how many non-geek girls are impressed by something shinny or glowing green. I have a translucent mouse that glows green, it always impresses the girls in my dorm.

Anyway, it's really easy to do. Just assume a resistance of 135 Ohms for the LED and try to get the current under 20 mAs. For example with 5 LEDs and a 9V battery you'd have 13 mA and thus be fine running in series directly off the battery. This configuration has the easiest wiring, but isn't that bright. You can maximize the current with parallel wiring and changing the input voltage. 5 LEDs in a parallel array with a 5 Ohm resistor on 4.5V input would give 28 mA making your array brighter. Technically you could optomize it for exactly 30 mA, but things get more complex. For example, you can pull 9V or 4.5V with standard batteries. 4.5V being 3 AA batteries.

As for using the device, I'd put it in on remote control. That would be cool...

I really think that will look cool, but make you look like a loser, lol major geek. I dont think a female will be impressed unless she is a loser too. My 2 cents?
