cooling for a 2700
« on: September 01, 2003, 06:50:36 AM »

Just waiting to hear back when my 2700 will be in, was wondering what kind of OC fan I should pick up for it, I want it to keep it nice and cool and I will  OC the processer after I use it for a week or two. I would like it to look good too for I want to get some lights for my case. and some ram covers

I'm opting for water but I recon if you realy want to OC but only the CPU then get Vapore. The only good air coolers I have ever found are from zalman, but I surgest you try to find a realy powerful fan if going for the flower shape one as the stock one can't hack it in tight cases.

if the board has mounting holes (4 holes around the cpu socket), then the SLK-900 U is a must-have, its a great heatsink, probably the best aircooled one for AMD CPUs, and you can use a 92mm fan on it, it doesnt come with a fan so you need to purchase one seperately.

... and if you dont have the mounting holes, how about the 900a?
