Cd drive motor

Does anyone know where I can find the little electric motor found inside CD drives, I'm thinking about making a custom drive type mod and I need to know where to get one of these. Thanks!

I was thinking about that, but the only drives I have don't work (the motor is fried, don't know why) and  I was thinking about ordering quite a few.

trust me on this man...take a quick drive around town on or before trash day, you will see old computers sitting out by the road waiting to be taken to the dump. I see at least 3 or 4 every week on my way to work. they are usually old as hell but 90% of the damn things are fully functional. people just throw them away. you can get tons of parts that way.  FREE

I have seen monitors too
full systems

Two words:

Thrift Stores

Coupla bucks gets you an old CD drive. Few more bucks gets you a huge case. :D
