it will pretty much work with anything you want to switch on and off.

Now if only they made a very compact one that can at least turn on one device, we won't have that problem of turning the PC on remotely.  But hey, we have such an article in GT :D

Quite definitly yes. ccfls, leds, fans, lcds..... basically anything that you'd use a spst switch for thats not too much voltage.

most relays have a NC (normally closed) connection also.  So just wire it up to disconnect instead of connect.
