Internal Painting Question
« on: July 07, 2003, 12:10:45 AM »

I've read everything about painting the outside of the case, but what do i do to paint the inside of my case?

Any help would be appreciated.

More or less the same thing...take the entire case apart first. You may have to drill out rivets to get the top panel off, depending on the case (I did...it can be a bit of a pain to get it bolted back on, so have a plan before you start). Sand everything lightly to rough it up, clean it off, prime (two coats probably, sanding and cleaning between), then apply two or three coats of paint (sanding and cleaning between each, again), clear coat if you want.

i have painted the inside of my case, it is not a big deal, just rip your case apart and paint it, i build a paintbox (a square box of metal with a plexi side) and used it to tryout diffrent color combinations.

You can look at my cas here http://mod-it.sytes.net/info.htm

Ps. i will post NEW pics of the inside tonight, i have taken some pics with the side of so that u can se the internals good Ds.

buy an erector set, they have nice bolts to put your case back together, and you never know when you will need those bars (hard drive racks, fan mounting....) you can also buy a clear foldable wardrobe, and use it as a paint box
